This national park in the Karvia area of Satakunta brings together wide open bogs, sunlit esker ridges and the fairy-tale forest of the Katikankanjoni canyon. The area has a wilderness feel and draws birdwatchers and photographers. It is managed by Metsähallitus, the Finnish state agency that looks after national parks.
You can hike and cycle in the park, and some routes are suitable for children. There is a barbecue spot, picnic tables and a public toilet, and you can stay overnight in a cabin. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible. Routes and directions for arriving by car are on Metsähallitus's Luontoon.fi service.
