The bilingual music school teaches in Finnish and Swedish, offering the advanced syllabus of basic arts education alongside a general non-degree department. Early childhood provision includes baby, toddler and music play groups. The school has around 400–500 pupils.
Instrument and singing studies admit pupils without an entrance exam. Ensemble options include youth, string and wind orchestras, bands, choirs and vocal groups. Music theory and ear training are also taught.
