Built at the Isohaara hydropower plant in 1993, the fish pass is 230 metres long with a 12-metre rise. It combines a vertical-slot section with an upper Denil section and lies by the river near a municipal boundary.
The pass is owned by Keminmaa municipality and operated, maintained and developed by Lohijokitiimi ry under a lease. Since 2021, Simsonar counters have filmed migrating fish to identify their species, size and number.
