This fourth-generation family foundry casts jewellery and other objects from customers' own models rather than its own collection. Founder Jaakko Raiskinen began his career in 1918. Items cast include rings, pendants, knife handles, fishing lures, belt buckles, miniature sculptures and parts for historic cars.
Work can start from a physical model, a 3DM, STP or STL file, or a customer's own mould or wax pattern. A modelling service follows customer specifications, with dimensional drawings helping the process. Production uses 3D wax printers, computer-controlled casting machines and microchip-controlled wax injectors.
