This guesthouse stands in the former port area and was created to save the 1896 harbour office built by Otto Roden. Eight historic buildings were moved intact to the site between 2005 and 2011. The largest and most ornate log villa is the main guesthouse building. Rooms are named after the area's cultural heritage, sea nature and history.
It is run by Elävä Ykspihlaja Oy, a company founded by cultural workers and partly staffed by volunteers. Sustainable development is a guiding principle. There is a public event calendar, and rooms can be booked online. Breakfast is included, Wi-Fi and parking are free, pets are welcome and the building is non-smoking. There is no pool or gym.
