Founded in 1957, this family bakery is now in its third generation. It began as Pulla Pojat and was renamed Harjun Leipomo in the 1970s. Buns, sweet pastries, doughnuts, cakes and confectionery are made by hand to traditional recipes. It uses as few additives as possible and chooses raw materials with quality in mind.
The bakery's products are sold in the bread sections of local grocery stores. The business also runs cafés and lunch restaurants serving home-style cooking, with a soup lunch at Harjun Kaffila. The cafés opened in the 1980s. The shared website covers the bakery shop and café, Harjun Kaffila, Harjun Rinkeli and Harjun Puffetti. Parking, entrance, seating and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
