The practice offers psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, mainly for children and young people, though adult patients are also accepted. It also provides child and adolescent psychiatry consultations on psychological development, symptoms and treatment needs, as well as clinical supervision. Juvenile forensic psychiatry matters such as criminal cases, police investigations or custody issues are not handled.
The therapist is a specialist in child psychiatry, a YET psychodynamic psychotherapist, an IPA psychoanalyst and a training psychotherapist, and has worked as a child psychiatrist for over twenty years. Child psychotherapy uses play, drawing, painting and talking; sessions are at least twice weekly, and psychoanalysis four times weekly. An assessment phase of 3 to 5 visits comes first. Contact is by text message or email. Support for child psychotherapy is available through the public healthcare guarantee for under-16s and Kela rehabilitation funds for those over 16. The toilet is wheelchair accessible.
