A children's beach lies beside the sandy shore, and the natural stone shoreline deepens fairly quickly. The area has a jetty, a volleyball court and two grilling and picnic areas. The playground has swings, sand and water tables and a climbing net.
Four changing cabins, an outdoor shower and Bajamaja toilets serve swimmers. There is no lifeguard, and the swimming area is marked with buoys. The shoreline woodland is park-like forest that forms part of the Katariina trail hiking route, and the beach lies next to Katariina Sea Park.
