The Kymenlaakso wellbeing services county provides home nursing, home services or a combination in clients' own homes. Support follows an assessed need and a care and service plan, using the RAI functional assessment. Some services can use a remote care tablet or a medication dispensing machine.
Applications go through social services client guidance by phone or the Oma Kymenlaakso chat. The initial assessment period is delivered as temporary home care. Support following hospital discharge depends on the sending unit's assessment. Relatives can contact the unit directly about a family member's care. The office entrance and parking area are wheelchair accessible.
