This is the largest professional theatre in Eastern Finland, producing its own shows and hosting guest performances every year. It has two stages: the Minna stage seats 464 and the Maria stage 195. The programme also includes dance theatre from Tanssiteatteri Minimi. There are just over 70 permanent staff, and about 95,000 visitors come each year.
The Teatteriravintola Ofelia restaurant operates in the building, and the premises can be hired for events and gatherings. There is no customer car park of its own, but parking garages are about a 5 to 10 minute walk away, and accessible spaces are near the main doors. A customer loyalty membership is available. The entrance, toilet and seating are wheelchair accessible.
