The gliding club provides licence training with theory and flying at Rautavaara airfield. Training can begin at 15 and the licence be obtained at 16; minors need parental consent. The club has several gliders and instructors and a flight simulator.
Courses depend on participant numbers. Supervised solo flights near the airfield are possible before the full licence is issued. The club publishes flying and booking guidance and uses a safety management system.
