The local lung association has about 1,400 members and supports everyday life for people with respiratory diseases in Northern Savonia. Membership gives access to local and national peer support and exercise groups. Activities also include body maintenance sessions and a watercolour club.
Sleep apnoea peer groups meet in locations including Varkaus and Siilinjärvi. The association shares the Finnish Lung Association's online lectures and videos. Its website also publishes an accessibility statement.
