The volunteer centre belongs to the Central and Eastern Finland district of the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare, which supports children, young people and families. Its work covers parent support and volunteering, and its website lists parenting courses such as Vahvuutta vanhemmuuteen and Lapsi mielessä.
The district organises peer groups for families, supports local associations and runs a helpline for children and young people as well as a parents' phone line. It also runs the Eastern Finland crime victim support service (RIKU) and mediation in criminal and civil disputes.
