Part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland, the parish arranges worship, funerals and other church rites. Its activities include work with children, families, young people and adults, alongside diaconal support and music. It became an independent parish in 1859, with separation from Alavus taking effect in 1875.
The parish office also provides a telephone service. Facilities include a parish community centre and a youth space, while services and events are broadcast through online radio. The entrance, car park and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
