The congregation began in the late 19th century, registered as an association in 1912 and joined the Finnish Free Church in 1923. Activities include worship, Holy Communion and groups for young people, families, adults and seniors. It has its own Christian day-care centre and cooperates with charitable and scouting organisations.
Membership is open to born-again Christians aged 15 or over who follow Free Church principles. The premises have a wheelchair-accessible entrance and toilet.
