This registered association is a club for rock and mineral enthusiasts, founded in 1996 as Kiviteam ry and renamed in 2002 and again in 2019. Members are taught stone cutting, polishing and jewellery making, with machines for facet and cabochon grinding of gemstones, plus tools and materials. Silver jewellery can be made from wire, sheet or old silver objects, and members can set the stones themselves. The activities rest on the members' own expertise and enthusiasm for stones and silversmithing.
Regular open workshop evenings let members polish stones or do silver work. Stone boxes on site provide rough material for polishing, but silver materials must be brought by the member. Weekend courses on silver jewellery making and stone setting are arranged separately. The association also organises the Kiehtovat Kivet mineral fair in Jokimaa and promotes Finnish gemstones and mineral collecting.
