Founded in 1960 with activities beginning in 1978, the association brings together about 200 members from South Karelia. Its premises, acquired in 2022, were previously the Nordkalk guest house and have hosted events since 1964.
Rooms can be hired for anniversaries, company parties, graduations, weddings and christenings. The usual capacity is 30–50 people, with room arrangements allowing up to 120. Sauna facilities can also be rented.
