Founded in Viipuri in 1928, the foundation supports education and business in Kymenlaakso, North Karelia and South Karelia. Support includes business loans, student grants and funding for teachers' professional skills and teaching-content development.
Students in vocational institutions, universities of applied sciences and adult education can also receive support for study abroad and periods after graduation. The foundation may award a prize recognising entrepreneurship. Grants and loans are applied for through an online application service.
