Founded in 1986 in Tampere as an engineering office, the company is now an international group of about 550 employees. It provides design, project management and expert services for industrial investment goods and production plants. Its automation solutions cover mechanical design, tool design, control solutions, commissioning and training. It also modernises existing machines and automates entire production lines, and describes itself as an independent design office not tied to any equipment supplier.
Expertise includes PLC and HMI programming, safety-critical software, machine safety and control room systems. It is a Siemens Solution Partner, a Siemens-certified (TÜV) machine safety partner and an Aveva System Integrator Partner. Customers come from the food, energy, chemicals, mining, forestry and defence industries, as well as shipbuilding. Its management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015, and it has over twenty offices in Finland and abroad. This office is located in the premises of Kaakon Viestintä Oy.
