The wholesale operation is associated with an Åland dairy and bakery cooperative founded in 1921 and owned by 14 dairy farms. Åland milk is used to make milk products, yoghurt, cheese, butter and cream. The bakery makes bread, buns, doughnuts and pastries by hand using local ingredients.
Beyond Åland, selected product groups are supplied to mainland Finland and Sweden. Cheese and other chilled foods are also imported for the Finnish market. The cooperative holds BRC food-safety certification and has its own biogas plant.
