Run by a non-profit parents' association, the nursery provides Montessori early education for ages 1 to 6 in two small groups and its own preschool class. Daily life uses Finnish and English, with no language requirement for enrolment. Activities explore art, science, language and practical life skills.
The old wooden building has a glazed patio and a green yard. Its kitchen makes bread, baked goods and snacks, and cooks lunch twice a week; other lunches come from a central kitchen. Local and organic ingredients are preferred. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
