This historic parsonage estate on the Saimaa shore is a tourist attraction with a restaurant, café, shops and events year-round. It has been a parsonage since the Middle Ages, and its name was officially adopted when tourism activity began in 1990. The restaurant-café serves lunch daily and bakes its own pastries and breads on site, with vegan options among the lunch and café offerings. In summer the garden has resident sheep and hens, and children can visit Santa's hideout.
The shops sell crafts, gift items and Kalevala Koru jewellery, and gift cards are available. Event rooms range from about 10-person rooms to a hall for 40 to 50 people, plus a lakeside pavilion for about 30. Guided tours, group courses and meeting packages are offered. Dogs are welcome on the restaurant's outdoor terrace. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
