This joint municipal authority handles South Savo's regional development and planning, forming and conveying the region's shared positions. Its tasks include managing funding calls for development projects and planning EU structural funds. Work also covers cultural policy, transport systems, tourism, innovation and climate issues.
Minutes, decisions and public notices are published online. A EUROPE DIRECT information point provides EU information. The council organises seminars and regional events and publishes the Jousi newsletter. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
