Artist Viljo Syrjämä designed and built his studio home in the early 1950s. He also made the exterior bricks, furniture and many decorative details. The house contains art by Viljo and Kaisu Syrjämä. Donated to the municipality in 2008, it opened to the public in 2010.
Group visits include a guided tour, and small groups can arrange visits outside opening hours. The building is not wheelchair accessible, though accessible parking is available. Payment on site is cash only, with invoicing possible for groups.
