The shop continues the traditions of the Makkarakauppa sausage shop. Fresh meat and fish are cut by hand on the premises, and same-day cut products are available at the service counter. The fish includes locally caught wild fish by season and farmed fish. The beef comes partly from pasture-raised cattle on Hailuoto, and reindeer meat is ordered in advance from herders in Pudasjärvi.
Own products include smoked, flame-broiled, gravlax and cold-smoked fish, as well as its own sausages, kebab and sous vide ribs. When the shop is open, the grill serves burgers, ribs, wings, filled pitas and salmon soup. Ready meals and catering for parties and events can be ordered in advance by online form or phone, with pickup on weekdays and Saturdays. The range also includes spices, marinades, sauces and side dishes, and there is a knife sharpening service; gift cards are valid for one year. The entrance and car park are wheelchair accessible.
