Operating since 1987, the private day-care centre has 32 places for children aged zero to five. Its wooden-house setting includes a large traditional yard with climbing and play areas and its own woodland. Children help shape activities, learning through play, movement, exploration and outings.
Six early childhood educators work at the centre, with trainees also taking part. Staff regularly exchange information with families about each child's day and needs. Parents apply for a city service voucher towards day-care costs. Values include caring for others, safe boundaries, honesty and respect.
