The Steiner daycare is run by a non-profit support association founded by parents in 2009. It has places for 28 children and eight staff, with groups for ages 1–3 and 4–5 and preschool arranged with a Steiner school.
Daily and weekly rhythms include outdoor play and forest trips in different weather. An in-house cook prepares meals mainly from organic and local ingredients, while edible plants and flowers are grown organically in the yard. Parents take part in governance through an elected board alongside the teachers' college. The centre belongs to the Steiner Education Association and supports soil protection and biodiversity through the Kurki farm guardians.
