This is a local branch of the Finnish Building Workers' Union, founded in 1964 as the construction machine operators' trade branch. Today its members include workers across the land and water construction sector, and membership is open to people employed in the union's collective-agreement sectors, including through staffing agencies, as well as students in the field.
The association offers member benefits and support throughout a working career, from studies to retirement. It holds sector events such as infrastructure industry meetings and union gatherings, and shares information on the holiday foundation apartments, the infra-sector collective agreement and allowance rates.
