The workers' hall traces its origins to a sawmill union branch formed around 1900 and a workers' association established in 1908. Built by volunteers, the hall opened in 1910 and has housed the association, women's and youth sections and a sports club.
It is rented to associations, individuals and companies for parties, events and meetings. Dance events are held here, with retiree associations running weekly dances in winter. Tanssikoulu Jari Aaltonen is another regular user. Wheelchair-accessible parking is available.
