Founded in 1914, the central association supports local peace associations of the Conservative Laestadian movement. Its work includes missions, camps, courses and publishing, including the weekly Päivämies newspaper. It organises summer meetings and other religious gatherings open to everyone.
Camp centres and institutes also hold confirmation camps and leader training. An online publication shop sells faith-related books and recordings. Summer meeting radio broadcasts gatherings and sermons, and online services are provided in several languages. The office entrance and parking are wheelchair accessible.
