This Lutheran church is part of a parish whose activities include volunteer work, prayer gatherings and meeting places for parishioners. The parish runs Sirpakka, a mission shop-café, and in summer quiet morning prayers are held in the chapel at the vicarage. Morning prayer is also held in the Old Church, and weekly prayer gatherings take place in the Vintti chapel at Leijon pihapiiri. The Huilipaikka group, led by a diaconia worker, brings adults together to talk. Volunteers are needed for the church café, for assisting at services and for youth work. The parish publishes the Sana publication and the Kirkkoposti newsletter.
