Run by a city-owned foundation, the safety training centre covers 38 hectares, eight of them built. Development began in 2011. Clients include rescue departments, contract and industrial fire brigades, security firms, police, the Defence Forces and Border Guard.
Companies can arrange realistic safety training in fire safety, first aid, working at height and confined spaces, plus logistics-sector directive training. The 833 m² Luotitalo allows live-ammunition training for authorities, defence organisations and security companies. Employers can download a rescue-exercise guide. Accessible parking is available.
