This family-owned bakery was founded in 1947 as a military crispbread factory. Its breads are baked with a sourdough starter, and rye products use a rye sourdough starter. The daily range covers rye and wheat breads, coffee breads, savoury products and bake-off frozen products, sold fresh and frozen, including frozen buns, pastries and cakes. The flours use 100% Finnish grain, and several products carry the Hyvää Suomesta (Good from Finland) mark. For industrial customers it supplies pizza bases, hamburger buns, pita, wraps, blinis and baguettes.
It holds ISO 9001 (2009) and ISO 22000 (2014) certificates, its bakeries are BRC GS certified, and the Sarpi bakery is FSSC 22000 certified. Bio-waste is composted and surplus bread is donated to the Elämän Leipä charity. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
