Founded in 1971, the judo club belongs to the Finnish Judo Federation and joined the Finnish Paralympic Committee in 2021. It holds Olympic Committee Star Club status and has fewer than 100 members, mostly children and young people, with five groups training in its own dojo.
Children can join a basic course or early-years judo, while adults can start at any time. The club runs the JuKo school judo programme, youth competitions and winter camps, and rents its training hall to others.
