This 4.5-hectare park in Raisio lies in a pine forest and holds 2,420 rhododendrons representing 382 species, cultivars and hybrids, 40 of them Finnish cultivars. It was established in 1999, when 350 Finnish rhododendrons were planted, and extended in 2008 and 2016. Markku Tuominen designed it.
The rhododendrons flower from roughly late May to midsummer. The forest paths are for pedestrians only, and dogs must be kept on a lead. The cycle paths are mostly accessible, but the forest paths are not because of roots and stones. There is a car park next to the park, a small summer café nearby and toilets in the adjacent upper secondary school. Rhododendrons can be adopted via the website.
