Opened in 1988, the cultural history home museum presents a formal residence shaped by many years of domestic life. It is maintained by a foundation established under industrial counsellor Teresia Lönnström's will. The foundation also develops contemporary art projects with artists working in Finland.
Guided tours and visitor education include programmes for schools, children, groups and teachers. The museum maintains a collection and produces publications. Its website is in Finnish, English and Swedish. The entrance, car park and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
