This café-restaurant opened in 2012 and is known for savoury and sweet waffles, salad bowls, pastries and artisan gelato. The pastry chefs make hand-made cakes that can be ordered in advance with an order form. The menu includes breakfast and a selection of drinks and cocktails, and in summer it runs the Sugar gelato kiosk at Lordin aukio. It belongs to a restaurant family that also includes Gustav Kitchen & Bar, Alfred Kitchen & Bar in Oulu and the Mexican restaurant YUCA next door. Gustav was ranked 15th in Finland's restaurant list in 2021.
Nord Catering serves events outside the restaurant, from small home parties to large corporate occasions. Tables can be booked, and gift vouchers are available. There is accessible seating, parking and a toilet, but the entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
