The municipal primary school provides grades 1–6 and pre-primary education. Together with Kirkonkylä school it forms a unit of around 420 pupils. A small special education group serves grades one and two. Teaching uses practical activities, varied learning environments and information technology.
Staff, pupils and parents work together, supported by a pupil council and the Silta parents' association. The entrance and car park are wheelchair accessible.
