The local heritage association preserves history and traditions and supports development of the home municipality. Its 2017–2018 history project collected oral recordings, old photographs, maps, documents and newspaper cuttings. Reminiscence evenings and site visits helped add details to the material.
The collection is published in the digital Topoteekki heritage archive, which can be expanded. Recording and digitisation agreements were made with nearly a hundred people, and archive work continues beyond the project.
