This volunteer-run sea rescue association's main task is to rescue people in distress at sea. It also assists boaters in other dangerous or problematic situations, works with the authorities, and aims to improve the safety of water traffic and promote good seamanship. It operates two boats, PV Draken and Mathilda Marina, on the waters of Kemiönsaari and nearby from spring to autumn.
During the boating season, from May to late October, it keeps a standby service running around the clock. New volunteers are welcome, no boating experience is needed and training is provided. The association is part of the Finnish Sea Rescue Society, and its website is in Finnish and Swedish.
