The main library belongs to the city's public library service, which also has branch libraries. Besides loanable materials there are e-books and other e-materials, and the online library lets you search, reserve and renew loans. Customers can use study, work and hobby spaces, plus public computers, scanners, copiers, digitising equipment and printers. Exhibition spaces let visitors present their own work.
Events for adults include reading circles for people studying Finnish, and events are also organised with outside partners. Digital guidance is offered, and guided tours of the main library can be requested. The library publishes a newsletter and a blog. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
