This massage school belongs to the Terveystalo group and trains students for the professional qualification in massage, with an optional specialisation in sports massage. The syllabus covers anatomy and physiology, massage techniques, injuries of the musculoskeletal system and entrepreneurship. Teaching uses a digital learning environment, anatomy models and a practical work environment.
Groups meet on weekday evenings or at weekends, and students from other towns can attend weekend sessions about twice a month. Work placements take place mainly at Terveystalo Rela massage clinics. Graduates qualify as trained massage therapists, whose massage work is VAT-exempt. Extra courses cover masseter massage and the basics of trigger point and fascia massage. The entrance and car park are wheelchair accessible.
