Founded in 1959, the local union branch represents workers and students, defending employment and pay conditions and members' economic, social and legal interests. Around 1,150 members work at more than 130 workplaces across 17 collective agreement sectors. The branch provides training and supports leisure activities.
It handles membership matters, with workplace shop stewards elected by union members. The autumn meeting elects the board, whose meetings are open to members. Its own premises, used since 1985, host training, duty sessions and meetings. Members can apply to join the A-kassa unemployment fund.
If you received membership support or attended training, share your experience below for other workers.
