This is a branch of the Väli-Suomi probation office under the Criminal Sanctions Agency. It handles community sanctions, including community service and supervision. Its area covers Alajärvi, Alavus, Evijärvi, Ilmajoki, Karstula, Kauhava, Kuortane, Kyyjärvi, Lappajärvi, Lapua, Soini, Vimpeli and Ähtäri.
In-person visits are by appointment only, and phone service is available on weekdays. A community service duty line is also in operation. The office is in the Fallesmanni building, and the car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
