This national park in Tammela is a raised bog, and the Metsähallitus website calls it Finland's deepest bog, with peat layers more than 12 metres thick at their deepest. Visitors walk across the bog on duckboards, and in spring you can watch cranes and geese on migration. In snowy winters there are gentle ski trails.
There is a barbecue area, picnic tables and a public toilet, and the area suits picnics, with some routes suitable for children. There are both paid and free parking areas, and there is accessible parking and an accessible entrance. Dogs are allowed.
