Pekka, a fourth-generation baker, and his wife Mari started this Tampere home bakery in the early 1970s, and everything is still made by hand from start to finish. Specialities include filled baguettes, blueberry-vanilla doughnuts and peremech meat pies, alongside cinnamon buns, jam doughnuts and meat rolls. In season there are tippaleipä May Day funnel cakes, Runeberg tortes and Shrove Tuesday buns.
You can have breakfast or lunch here, there is outdoor seating, and dogs are allowed inside. Pastries are sold to take away, and the doors close once the shelves are empty, so call ahead if you want something specific. Tables cannot be reserved, and parking is free.
