This Lutheran church in Tampere was consecrated by Bishop Juha Pihkala in September 2001. It was designed by KSOY architects (Erkki Karvala, Markku Koskinen and Juha Ryösä) in brick, glass and steel, and a massive red-brick wall symbolising God's protection gives the building its name, Suojamuuri ('protective wall'). Taina Väisänen designed the interior and the boat-shaped wooden altar, and the altarpiece 'Rauha teille' ('Peace be with you') is by Hannu Konola.
The organ has 25 stops, and the church holds up to 300 people. Entrances are step-free with push-button doors, the nave has an induction loop, and an accessible toilet is near the main entrance. Parking is in the inner courtyard.
