Made by the sculptor Emil Wikström in 1913, this fountain is one of the stops on the Tampereen likat ("Tampere girls" in the local dialect) cultural trail, which brings together the city's public sculptures of women.
The sculpture stands in public space, and you can stop by on a walk to the other sites on the trail, which are presented on the City of Tampere website.
