This park on the Pispala ridge in Tampere is also known as Vesisäiliönmäki, or Water Tank Hill, because a water tank once stood here, filled with water pumped from the Tahmela spring. Residents used to wash and dry their laundry in the park. The surroundings are known for old wooden houses and views over Lake Pyhäjärvi, and a Red Guard memorial from 1983 stands in the park.
The park has a lookout point, a playground and swings, and it suits families and picnics. Dogs are allowed. A visit usually lasts up to 45 minutes. The entrance is step-free, but there is no accessible parking area.
