This non-profit English-language school in Tampere says it has taught children for 60 years. Children aged 2 to 5 can join a club on three weekday mornings a week, led by a native English speaker. Preschool afternoons build English vocabulary and school readiness, and the after-school club for grades 1 to 3 offers free and guided play, a snack, crafts and projects.
Teaching makes use of children's sensitive periods for learning, mainly through play, singing and crafts, and the language path from age two until school age is tailored to each family. Tampere city service vouchers can be used for the club, and places are applied for through the website, which also has an English version.
